- You bring up some interesting points. Let me just contribute a few quick
- comments.

- - I agree with you that there is a huge difference between a demo that you
- write and distribute to the world for free and other (commercial)
- programs of which games are a good example. Games that disable the OS
- and bang the hardware should be labelled to *not* run on anything other
- than stock A1200's (or whatever computer they're designed for).

- - I don't object to programs that don't run on a particular computer, as
- long as they don't crash when you try to run them. It's not too hard to
- check the computer on which you're running before disabling the OS and
- starting it. If it's a system that you don't recognize, at least give a
- warning.
